The three goddesses in Greek mythology who govern the four seasons
The full moon goddess Selene, known as the Horae goddess, is one of the three goddesses in Greek mythology who govern the four seasons. They are Thallo, the goddess of spring representing the budding season, Auxo, the goddess of summer representing the growing season, and Carpo, the goddess of autumn representing the fruiting season. Also known as the goddess of seasons.

According to the Greek poet Hesiod's Theology, they were the three daughters born to Zeus, the Heavenly Emperor, and Themis, the goddess of justice. Their names were Eunomia (Lawfulness), Dicke (Justice), and Erine (Peace). But in other versions, there are also some other temporal goddesses. For example, in ancient Athens, the names of the seasonal goddesses were Taro Thallo (spring, sprouting season), Calpo Carpo (autumn, harvest season), and Oxo Auxo (summer, growing season), which are actually closer to the meaning of the four seasons in nature.
In Greek mythology, season goddesses are often depicted as young goddesses who appear with certain gods, such as Demeter, Apollo, Aphrodite, Dionysos, and so on. When Venus was born from the sea, it was the spring goddess among season goddesses who helped her dress up.

Note 1: Dick (Justice) is the goddess of moral justice, in charge of human justice, while her mother Themis is in charge of justice among the gods. Eunomia (Lawfulness) is the goddess of law. Eirne (Peace) is the goddess of peace and prosperity.
Note 2: Thallo (or Thalatte) is the goddess of spring, flowers, and sprouts. Auxo (or Auxesia) is the goddess of summer and plant growth. Carpo (or Xarpo) is the goddess of autumn, fruiting, and more, while also guarding the entrance of Mount Olympus.
Note 3: The Greeks had a very early concept in Argos that there were only two seasons, summer and winter. In ancient Athens, there were only three seasons: spring (sprouting season), summer (growing season), and autumn (fruiting season). Persephone, the daughter of the Earth goddess Dimitr, was taken to the underworld by Hades and ate pomegranates. During this time, she was forced to stay in the underworld for a period of time, during which all things on the earth did not grow. As a result, she gradually developed the concept of winter.

Between 1793 and 1794, Schiller agreed with the publisher Kota in the Schwarzenegger region to publish a literary publication called "The Goddess of Seasons". In June 1794, he obtained Goethe's consent and support. The official publication of "The Goddess of Seasons" in 1795 marked the beginning of a 10-year collaboration between two literary masters. Goethe and Schiller published their important works in "The Goddess of Seasons", such as Schiller's "A Brief Account of Aesthetic Education in Man" (1795) and Goethe's "Popularization in Literature" (1795). This publication ceased publication in 1797, and its role as a representative publication of German classical literature in the history of German literature is indelible.
