Maitreya (or Maitreya Bodhisattva, or Maitreya Mahasa) (Sanskrit Maitreya, Pali Metteyya), which is literally translated as Cishi, is transliterated into Mehliya. In the Mahayana Buddhist classics, it is often called Ayido Bodhisattva Mahasa, and is the successor of the Buddha Sakyamuni. It will be born and cultivated in the Saha world before coming, becoming the next Buddha in the Saha world (also called the future Buddha), the fifth Buddha among the thousands of virtuous Buddha, It is often called "Maitreya Buddha Worship". It was regarded as the originator of the school of idealism, and its huge ideological system was interpreted and promoted by Bodhisattva Wuzhuo and Bodhisattva Shiqin. It was highly praised by Chinese Mahayana Buddhist masters Zhi Qian, Dao'an and Xuanzang. In some Chinese Buddhist temples, it is common to see a monk with a bare chest and a smiling face (or a monk with a big belly) modeled on a cloth bag monk. As an expression of Dharma education in Buddhism, it means "great quantity and great blessing" and reminds people to learn tolerance. Among them, the big belly can accommodate the things that the world cannot accommodate; Open your mouth and laugh at the ridiculous people in the world.

Maitreya Buddha, also known as Maitreya Buddha, is the future Buddha. It is called "Qiangba" in Tibetan. According to Mr. Ji Xianlin's research, "Maitreya" is a short name transliterated from the Tuhora language. Its origin is traced back to the Sanskrit Maitreya, which is newly called Maidi Li, Meidi Li, Meihengli, Meidangli, Meidangli medicine, Meidang [mouth * shoes] drag, Meidan Li. The name of Bodhisattva. It is translated as the Ci surname. The name "Ayido" translates as "powerlessness wins. In Amitabha Sutra, Kuiji explained: "Or Maitreya, this is the name of the Ci family. Since he cultivates his heart more and more, he enters into the Ciding, so he said that the Ci family is the most successful in cultivating kindness, and the name is powerless." Or Ayi was the surname, and Maitreya was the name. He was born in a Brahman family in Southern India and was contemporary with Sakyamuni Buddha. Later, he became a monk with Sakyamuni and became a Buddha disciple. Before Sakyamuni went to extinction, he went to extinction first to make up for the Bodhisattva for his life. He was born in Douzhu's inner courtyard. Later, when the cause was ripe, he was born under the Heaven Palace and introduced the Buddha's position of Sakyamuni Tathagata. At that time, Yanfuti in the Saha world (that is, the world we live in) had a winged head at the end of the city. His king's name was Kharoshthi. Maitreya would then be born in the home of a minister named Xiufanmo in the city. His experience of birth, becoming a monk, becoming a Taoist, and speaking was just like that of Sakyamuni Buddha. Become enlightened under the Bodhi tree in the Bodhi Garden, and use the three Bodhi teachings to transform the infinite beings. Maitreya in the early days of the past was a Buddha who cultivated Samadhi, so it was called Ci Shi. Even to become a Buddha, it is still a name (so although it is called "Maitreya Buddha" in name, it is still a Bodhisattva in fact).

Maitreya in Sanskrit of Maitreya is a common Brahman surname. The root originates from Maitr in Sanskrit ī， It means love. When Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty went to India to study, he saw the original Sanskrit, so he translated it into Megeliya. However, before Xuanzang, the early translators of Buddhist scriptures in the Later Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms Period saw Buddhist scriptures transferred from the Western Regions. Metrak in Tuhora was translated as Maitreya.

Maitreya Buddha is widely believed among the people. As early as the Western Qin Dynasty (4-5th century), Maitreya Buddha has been painted in the Bingling Temple Grottoes in Gansu. The early Maitreya Buddha was painted and sculpted according to the Maitreya Upper Life Sutra and Maitreya Lower Life Sutra. There are two kinds of images: Bodhisattva and Buddha. According to the Maitreya Sutra, the image of Maitreya is Bodhisattva, which represents the image of Maitreya's saying that the heaven palace is the heaven. It is characterized by Maitreya wearing a bodhisattva costume, sitting with his feet crossed, then drooping with his left foot, bending his right leg, and holding his right hand against his cheek. It is called "Half Incarnation Thinking Image". This is the scene of Maitreya waiting for his next birth in the sky. The 13th Cave of Yungang Grottoes has a 13m high statue of Jiaojiao Maitreya Buddha in the Northern Wei Dynasty, which is an early grotto Maitreya.
The Sutra of Monk Zhao of the Later Qin Dynasty: "Maitreya Bodhisattva. Shi Yue. His family name is Ya. Ayi has many words. He is the son of Boluomen in Southern India."
The Maitreya Sutra Youyi (written by Jizang of Sui Dynasty) records that "Ayido" and "Maitreya" are both used in ancient Indian Sanskrit to describe "Ayato Maitreya".
Fahua Jiaxiang Shuer said: "Maitreya, this cloud is also called Cishi. In the past, Maitreya Buddha made a vow to be called Maitreya. All the wisdom light immortal sutras were published, and Maitreya was once all the wisdom light immortal. The value Cishi Buddha said the Samadhi Sutra, so it is called Ciyi.
The Huayan Sutra says, "When I first got the three samadhi of kindness, I was named Ciya."
The clear name of the Tiantai Mountain Shu Wu said, "Those who spoke of Maitreya had Yun Cong's surname, which today is not a surname, but perhaps a name. Who is it? Maitreya, this is the Ci surname. In the past, it was the king's name, Tanmoliuzhi, a native of the Ciyu State, and was called the Ci surname by the state. Since then, it has always been called the Ci surname, and its surname is Ayido, which is invincible. Some people said that Ayido is a name. Since they did not see the text in person, they could not be determined."
The Eighteenth Book of Ju Sheguang says, "Mei Hang, this cloud of kindness. Li Yao, this cloud surname. Bodhisattva was born from the Ci surname, so he took his name from his surname, so it was called the Ci surname. In the old days, Yunmaitreya was wrong."
Xuanying said in a tone of twenty-five, "Mei Hengli Medicine, this kind of cloud kindness, that is, the old Yunci family. There are two causes of kindness: one is to be kind to Buddha, and the other is to be kind to Samadhi at the beginning. Because it is so named, it is not true that Maitreya or Yunmei is inferior to Li."
Huiyuan said in a tone: "Maitreya, with an ambiguous talon [mouth * shoes], is called a Ci surname."
Huilin said in a tone of 14: "The Mi Di Li and the ancient cloud Maitreya are both false and slightly incorrect, and the sound is correct."
The seventh note in the Western Regions says: "Mei Hengli, Tang Yanci, that is, the surname. In the old days, it was called Maitreya, which is a false statement."
In Esoteric Buddhism, Maitreya of the fetal Tibetan world sits on the lotus in the northeast of the Zhongtai Baye Hall. Maitreya of the Vajrayana world sits in the east among the sixteen sages. The Western Vajrayana Bodhisattva among the thirty-seven in the Karma Society is the oath of this respect. The great Vajrayana is also the body of this respect. The secret code is called "Fast Vajra".
