Maitreya (i.e. Maitreya Bodhisattva, also called Maitreya Bodhisattva mahasa) (Sanskrit Maitreya, Pali metteyya), which is translated as Tzu and transliterated as mereliya. In Mahayana Buddhist classics, Maitreya is often called ayido Bodhisattva mahasa. It is the successor of the Buddha Sakyamuni. In the future, Maitreya will be born and cultivated in the Saha world and become the next Buddha (also called Future Buddha) in the Saha world, That is, the fifth Buddha among the Thousand Buddhas, which is often called "Maitreya Buddha when he comes to the next life". It is regarded as the originator of the school of idealism. Its huge ideological system is interpreted and promoted by Wuzhao Bodhisattva and Shiqin Bodhisattva. It is highly praised by Chinese Mahayana Buddhist masters Zhi Qian, dao'an and Xuan Zang. In some monasteries of Han Buddhism, it is common to see bare chested, open belly and smiling (or big belly bhikkhu) modeled on the cloth bag monk. As an expression of Dharma education in Buddhism, it means "great quantity and great blessing", reminding the world to learn tolerance. The big belly can accommodate things that are difficult to accommodate in the world; Open your mouth and laugh at the ridiculous people in the world.
Note: Dadu Maitreya Buddha (based on the cloth bag monk), Tianguan Maitreya bodhisattva (the image of Maitreya Buddha in ancient India) and cloth bag arhat are not the same image.
Maitreya Buddha, also known as Maitreya Buddha, is the future Buddha, which is called "Qiangba" in Tibetan. According to Mr. Ji Xianlin's textual research, "Maitreya" is the abbreviation transliterated from the tuhuoluo language. Tracing its root, it starts from the Sanskrit Maitreya. It is newly called maidili, meidili, midili, Mei Tali, every Tali, Mei Tali medicine, Mei Tali [mouth * shoe] drag, and Mei danliye. The surname of Bodhisattva is also. Translated as Ci. The name of a Yiduo is translated as "incompetence wins". In the Sutras of Amitabha, peeping Ji explained: "Maitreya is the name of CI. He practices compassion and is determined by kindness. Therefore, he says that CI is the most successful in cultivating kindness and is called incompetent." or ayido is the surname and Maitreya is the name. Born in the Brahman family of South Tianzhu, he is contemporary with Sakyamuni Buddha. Later, he became a monk with Sakyamuni and became a disciple of Buddha. He went into extinction before Sakyamuni went into extinction. He was born in the inner court of dourate heaven to mend the Bodhisattva for his life. Later, when the karma is mature, the Buddha position of Shao Sakyamuni Buddha was born under the heaven palace of dourate. At that time, in the Saha world (that is, the world we live in), Yan futi has a winged head end city, and its king's name is Kha. Maitreya will be born at the home of a minister named xiufanmo in this city. His experience of birth, becoming a monk, becoming a Taoist and speaking will be like Sakyamuni Buddha. In Bodhi Garden, under the bodhi tree, Cheng Zhengjue uses Bodhi Sanhui to express the boundless and boundless beings. Maitreya, who lived in the past at the beginning, was worthy of the Buddha and cultivated compassion samadhi, so it is called CI surname. Even becoming a Buddha is still a name (so although it is nominally called "Maitreya Buddha", it is still a Bodhisattva).
Maitreya Bodhisattva belief in China
Since the Eastern Jin Dynasty in China, the belief in Maitreya pure land has become increasingly popular, and it is harmonious with Amitabha's belief in the Western Pure Land. Dao'an, the mentor of pure land Zong Huiyuan, vowed to go up and lead Tian to listen to Maitreya Bodhisattva in person because he had doubts about the original meaning of the Scripture. A generation of eminent monks such as Xuanzang and peeping Ji also made it their deathbed wish to lead the inner court.
After the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the belief in Maitreya became more and more prosperous, but the pure land of Maitreya still did not decline and spread greatly among civilians and scholar bureaucrats. The famous poet Bai Juyi is a Maitreya believer. He organized a "temporary rise meeting" in the hope that all members of the meeting would go to the pure land. He himself said in the picture of Maitreya's life frame: "I wish to be in the afterlife, living with all sentient beings and Maitreya, and falling with CI. Life, robbery and robbery are with CI; forever leaving the flow of life and death will eventually become supreme." he also said in his poems in his later years: "I learn empty doors rather than immortals. I'm afraid you may say I'm a false legend. Seamounts are not my place to return, and I should return to Dou lead the sky."
During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Maitreya's belief and Amitabha's belief in the Western Pure Land once clashed. There were many believers on both sides, forming two schools of pure land belief. Maitreya and pure land sect were at a standoff. However, as many believers of folk beliefs took Maitreya's birth as a call to revolt against the imperial court, Maitreya's belief was vigorously attacked by officials. After the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it gradually gave way to Amitabha's belief, so it was in the Chinese style of Han Buddhism.
Maitreya's method gradually declined because it was involved in all kinds of coups and incidents, but it still passed on in the Han Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, Salmonella Lin, a treasure elephant in the South China Sea in Guangzhou, and Hong Zan, an eminent monk of Cao Dongzong, wrote a book called "collection of tortoise mirrors at the rate of Dou", which recorded the deeds of Maitreya practitioners in previous dynasties.
Maitreya belief in Japan
Maitreya belief was introduced into Japan through the Korean Peninsula as an intermediary. King Baiji once presented the Maitreya Buddha to the emperor of Japan. In the era of Nara and Heian (AD 710-1185), the construction of Maitreya Temple has been very popular and widely distributed. Monks who wish to go to the inner court of shengdou rate have sprung up, mainly the six monks in Nandu, especially the Japanese scholars who study Yinming. Most of them follow the example of Matsu Shanzhu, the founder of Yinming in Japan, and wish to go to the inner court of shengdou rate.
Maitreya pure land
For the fourth of the six days, there are two internal and external hospitals. The inner courtyard is often the place where the Bodhisattva is born. Maitreya Bodhisattva was born here today. Therefore, it is called Maitreya's pure land. Maitreya's Sutra says the appearance of pure land. To persuade wish to live. The three Bodhisattvas of dourate pure land Maitreya are Maitreya Bodhisattva, Fahualin Bodhisattva and damiaoxiang Bodhisattva. There are many Bodhisattvas from other sides. In ancient times, great virtue has made a wish to die, including Ananda venerable, Jiexian master, dao'an master, Fayu master, Xuanzang master, peeping Ji master, Wuzhao Bodhisattva, Shiqin Bodhisattva, wise master, Zhixi, guanding, xuanlang and daoxuan lawyer. Old monk Xuyun, Master Taixu and master Cihang in modern times

According to the book of the wild rituals of honggatha, translated by the wisdom of King Kong in the Tang Dynasty, it is a heart following Mandala, with Maitreya in the center, Dharma wheel and great wonderful phase on both sides, and four heavenly kings in the four directions.
