Chadili (ch à d ì l ì) is one of the four castes in ancient India. It is called Chali. The landowner. That is, kings, ministers and other races that govern the people and engage in military service, so they are also called "king species". Their ancestors are Aryans from Central Asia. Its power is quite large, and its class is second only to Brahman. It is a class belonging to the royal, noble and noble families. It is a person engaged in military and political affairs. According to the Brahman classics, the main duty of Chadi Li is to protect the Brahman from generation to generation. Shi Zun was born in this class. In modern India, Chadhili represents the professional, ruling and military class.

In the second volume of the Biography of Continuing Eminent Monks (Da Zheng 50.432a), it is said that "the Sakyamuni Buddha's race belongs to the Sakyamuni tribe. The Buddha can recite the Vedas and perform sacrifices, but he cannot teach others, offer sacrifices for others, or accept the gifts of others. In addition, it is generally believed that kings are all from this race, but in India, there are also many people who have established kingship from the ethnic groups such as Veche and Datura in ancient times. The Rajput is the descendant of the Sadiri.
Transliteration of Sanskrit. It is also called "Chali". The second family name in ancient India holds political and military power. They are secular rulers. "The Analogy of Two Kinds of Wealth": "In the past, there was a moment of benefit in the country of Ramallah, and the disease was extremely serious, and the death was certain." Tang Xuanzang's "The Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty - General Introduction to India": "There are four kinds of people who have the same surname of the Ruo family: one is Brahman, the other is Jingxing... the other is Chadi Li, the king's seed. The old is Cha Li, the little one." Song Shenkuo's "Mengxi Bian Tan" magazine 1: "Only the four barbarians regard the clan as the noble and the humble. For example, Tianzhu regards the two surnames of Chali and Brahman as the noble and the rest as the common."
Chadi Li is a military aristocrat of Aryan people, including officials at all levels below the king, who control all the powers of the country except the divine power.
Caste system
It is a general term for a complex hierarchical system in India (including the Varna system and the later Jahati system derived from it) in ancient Chinese literature. Xuanzang also translated it as the clan system, which is usually called the Karst system in the West. It sprouted in the early Vedic era and formally emerged in the late Vedic era. At first, the white Aryan people whose ancestors came from Central Asia called themselves "Aryan Varna" (Aryan means "noble", Varna means "color" and "quality"), while the local residents were called "Da Savana" (meaning "male" and "male"). So there is a difference between the Aryan people who think they are noble and the local residents who regard them as hostile groups.
With the internal division of the Aryan people, at the end of the early Vedic era, the difference between the common people and the gentile nobles gradually occurred. The common people are called "Veche" (meaning members of the clan), while the nobles are called "Rajaraja" (meaning "burning and shining", extended to the meaning of noble leaders). The gentile nobles who are engaged in the sacrifice are called "Brahmans" (meaning born of Brahman). From the division of Aryan people and local residents into two, to the division of civilians and gentile nobles in Aryan tribes, and the division of military nobles and priestly nobles within the nobles, four Varna embryos were formed.
Formal formation period
In the late Vedic era, the Sivarna system was formally formed, and the Brahmans classics stipulated the status of each Varna and the different rights and obligations of different Varna members.
The first Varna is a Brahman. Brahmins are mainly in charge of religious sacrifices and serve as priests at different levels. Some of them also participate in politics and enjoy great political power.
The second Varna is Chadili (meaning "power" and "power"). It is developed from the "Rajaraja". Chadili's basic occupation is to act as a warrior. The king generally still belongs to Chadilivana, but Chadilivana is not limited to the king and the royal family. Chadi Li is the level of military and political power.
The third Varna is Veche. Veche is mainly engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry and commerce. Some of them have become rich and become usurers. Veche is a civilian, without political privileges, and must provide for Brahman and Sadiri who do not engage in productive labor in the form of charity (donation) and tax payment. However, Veche is also a member of the Aryan clan tribal commune. They can participate in the religious rites of the commune, so they belong to the "rebirth tribe" as well as Brahman and Chadiri.
The fourth Varna is Sudra. The predecessor of sudra varna is dasavana, and sudra is not in the Aryan commune. Most of the Datura are also non-Aryans, including Aryans who have lost their commune membership. Without commune membership, they cannot participate in religious rituals and get a second life (religious life). We lose the right to be protected in politics, law, religion and other aspects. Datura was engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry, fishing, hunting and other occupations that were considered low at that time. Some of them lost their means of production, became hired workers or even slaves. As for Varna, sudra is not a slave or a dasa. Datura is a person suffering from low status.
Status
In the early Vedic era, a family could engage in different occupations, and the identity of a person was not strictly fixed. After the formation of the Varna system in the late Vedic era, everyone's social status is determined by their family background, and all Varna people have been engaged in prescribed occupations for generations, and cannot be arbitrarily changed. In principle, intermarriage is prohibited between the Varnas. In real life, it is allowed for men in Govarna to marry women in Lovarna as concubines, but it is forbidden for men in Lovarna to marry women in Govarna. People who are different from Varna are not equal in law. The people of Govarna hurt the people of Lovarna, and the punishment is very light; On the contrary, the punishment will be very serious. The Varna system is obviously a tool to protect the new aristocratic exploiting class.
The Brahmanism's theory of manufacturing reincarnation also plays a defense role for the caste system. It refers to people from high castes as former good doers, and people from low castes as former evil doers. This provides a theoretical explanation for the privileges of the higher castes and the sufferings of the lower castes. Of course, this can only be a deceptive explanation.
