Arthur Pendragon, also known as King Arthur, is the legendary great king of ancient Britain. People know more about him from Celtic myths and legends and medieval unofficial history documents. Son of the king
According to legend, Arthur pandragon was the son of iglain, the wife of former King Uther and the Duke of Cornwall. With the help of the magician Merlin, Uther became the Duke of Cornwall, entered the castle where iglain was located and spent the night with her. Then she was pregnant with Arthur [3]. Later, King Uther died and the domestic situation began to fluctuate. Following Merlin's advice, the bishop summoned all noble knights to select a new king with a "sword in stone" inserted in the stone of the church cemetery. On this sword, there is an inscription: "Whoever pulls out the sword in this stone is the king of England". However, no one can pull the sword out of the rock. Since there was no better way, the Knights unanimously decided to choose the King through martial arts competition.
Arthur also went, but he was not qualified to participate in the martial arts competition. Kai, the son of his foster family, participated in the war on behalf of the family. However, when Kai entered the meeting, he found that he had forgotten to bring his sword, so he asked Arthur to go home and get it. Arthur hurried home and found the door locked. Because no one knew that the boy was King Uther's child, some knights were unwilling, but after Merlin appeared and told them Arthur's life experience, they still had to believe that Arthur was the new king of Britain. At the beginning of Arthur's reign, the young king showed a strong dependence on Merlin. Britain has ushered in unprecedented unity and strength. He helped the poor and the weak and established a prosperous kingdom.
The sword in the stone pulled out by Arthur when he chose the king in his youth broke after fighting against the chivalry when dueling with king Pellinore. King Arthur was very regretful for losing the holy sword. So the great magician Merlin guided him to the holy lake. The fairy in the lake held a sword and lifted it out of the water. The king rowed to the lake. He got Excalibur, a holy sword called "the sword of the king" from the fairy of the lake. The sword was forged by the elves in Avalon. The blade was made of gold, the handle was inlaid with gemstones, and because its blade cut iron like mud, the lady of the lake was named "Excalibur" (meaning "breaking steel" in ancient Celtic).
Merlin once asked King Arthur, "which do you prefer, the sword body or scabbard?"
King Arthur replied, "the sword body, because it is extremely sharp."
Merlin said, "you know, the value of the scabbard is ten times that of the sword body. Those who wear the scabbard of the king's sword will never bleed. Therefore, protect the scabbard and carry it with you."

Glorious era
Since the first century AD, Britain has been under the oppression of the Roman Empire for a long time. Later, the Saxons, as a branch of the Germanic people, invaded on a large scale, burned, killed and looted. King Arthur and the Knights of the round table led the British people to rise up and resist, and finally successfully repulsed the Saxon invasion from the north through 12 campaigns. Finally, in the battle of Patton mountain, he defeated the enemy in one fell swoop and expelled all foreign invaders from Britain. During this period, the Knights of the round table became an important part of the kingdom.
It is said that King Arthur had 150 knights at most. The Knights stormed the battlefield and discussed domestic affairs at the round table. Although they will also form some factions because of the same or different political views, only in the round table can there be no differences in status and monarchs and ministers, and everyone is allowed to speak freely. There are many legends on this legendary round table, including the search for the Holy Grail.
King Arthur married the beautiful guinivea as Queen. But like his father King Uther, King Arthur also had illegitimate children. His lover was his half sister Morgan. However, unlike his father King Uther, King Arthur did not intend to have an affair. Morgan used a kind of ecstasy to make King Arthur regard her as Guinevere. When King Arthur woke up, he felt guilty about Guinevere. Although King Arthur only spent one night with Morgan, Morgan still got the child with King Arthur's blood. Coincidentally, guinivea just witnessed all this, and then had an affair with Lancelot. The illegitimate son's biological mother is Morgan. King Arthur and the child are both uncle and nephew and father and son. The illegitimate son is Mordred who later rebelled and eventually led to the demise of the kingdom.
In the death of King Arthur written by the British writer Mallory in the 15th century, with the passage of time, King Arthur's territory was expanding. He even advanced into the inland of Europe and defeated Lucius, the emperor of the strong Roman Empire. King Arthur in Mallory's works declared war on Lucius the great and refused to pay tribute.
