In Hesiod's Divine Manual, Clymene is considered to be one of the ocean goddesses, the daughter of Oceanus and Tethys. But in some other versions, Clymene is considered as one of the twelve Titans, with the same rank as her husband.
She is the wife of Iapetus and has four children: Atlas, Prometheus, Epimetheus and Menoetius.
In Roman literature, she had intimate relationships with Helios and Apollo, and had children. The most famous one is that she gave birth to her son Phaeton with the sun god Helius. Phaeton grew up not believing that he was the son of the sun god and demanded a solar chariot from his father, ultimately leading to a tragic outcome. This is just a legend of the Romans. In Greek mythology, Helios and Phaer are the same father and son, and have no relationship with Clymene.
